Thread for idiots

  • There are times when I wish to unleash invective upon someone, but the thread concerned is not appropriate.

This rider down thread is a case in point.

    http://www.lfgss.com/thread109546.html

Rider Haggard if you wish to carry on your moronic postings, please use this place, rather than off topic discussion on a thread about someone's death.

And Frank Wrathall is a cunt.

  • I think Rider Haggard might be one too.

  • Rider Haggard - are you somehow linked to Frank Wrathall?

  • I'd just like to recommend EVERYONE considers taking cycle training, so we can all understand why cycling 'two foot' from the white line is not only a good idea in many situations, but also does in NO WAY constitute cycling 'in the middle of the road'. That would be two feet to the right, since in single carriageway roads that do include a centre line, that line is more or less the middle.

    Thread ends.

    1 million %

Father? Brother? Father of girl friend?

    Something...

  • Spurned secret lover.

    It was a drunken night.

    A mistake, he said.

    But they both knew.

The forbidden touch, the taste of the taboo.

    They were hooked.

A love that could never be.

Maybe just your average MAX power forum member, someone might have linked the thread over there?

(if there is such a forum, I'm assuming so)

  • Ride Haggard, I would love to cunt you in the bastard you big ignoramus!

  • Well that won't help.

Rider Haggard - if you are being serious, then do look into some training/further professional advice. Yes, you can't be expected to stop for a stationary holy cow in the road, but a moving cyclist is a normal and reasonably predictable hazard that you ought to be in a position to avoid or slow down for. If not, you're not driving in a fashion suitable for the conditions.

If you know Mr Wrathall at all, then I have sympathy for the fact he might face prison for an error, but it is an error we all know not to do, especially when in control of a larger than usual vehicle. Assuming the facts of the case are as reported, there is really no justification for a ~10 minute long conversation so engrossing you fail to look when entering a roundabout.

I'm not sure about "error", that puts it on roughly the same level as hitting the wrong button on your phone. How about "wilfully impairing his control of a piece of heavy machinery in a public space"?

  • Ignore me, I'm replying to the wrong thread...

  • The single most important piece of road advice I got from motorcycle training is 'if you cant stop in what you can see, you are going too quickly'. Things never come out of nowhere and there are no accidents

Ignoramus? A little harsh don't you think. The rest is fine though.

  • I work for an Indian company. They'd stop for a Holy Cow.

  • When in Mumbai &c &c
