• I tried it when I was a teenager in TO, and I had it in 2003 when I was still vegetarian, they had a non-meat gravy version in a cafe in Victoria BC. Definitely wasnt into it, I dont think the processed cheese ever appealed to me.

    You couldn't get a real poutine outside of Quebec until very recently. The cheese curds are unique and make it what it is. You had the wrong thing.
