  • Can go there too (you're not even coming Ludwig!), he's even closer. Either way options are there. But I'm not buying 20 burgers and a crate of beer so everyone go back on the train as they're knackered :)

  • Given I am currently struggling to stay awake at my desk heaven knows how tired I'll be by tomorrow morning. I'll bung a sausage in a jersey pocket in the hope a second wind will carry me as far as the barbeque.

  • haha, I've a nice big sofa and a spare room if you need a power nap...

  • Boo!

  • Have fun nutters!

  • On the train winging my way to London now... Hopefully get some sleep.

  • Hope that didn't wake you up.

  • If you forgot to charge your lights last night, run home and put them on now! ...

So if I put my lights on it will charge the batteries right?

  • Oh har de har.

Btw if a someone fancies buying 2ltrs of water at Waterloo Jim and I will need a to up at farnborough. Not sure if there's a corner shop open at 11.15 there...

  • Wii try and re..

    Boo!

    member.

  • matt I still have your gloves. Will bring them along. If I remember.

  • Hopefully a late addition to this if I can get my act together over the next 30 mins. Aiming for the train and groupsaves...

    yes!

  • Guess I'd better bring that light of yours down fella!

  • 9 set off for Bath.
8 of us are sitting in the cafe ordering breakfast.
Des is still puddling about on the hills.

It was a great night for riding, warm and windless with good company and plenty of punctures.

  • Congrats. Sounds excellent.

  • That was nuts, and, on reflection, partly enjoyable. Tunnels!

Thanks benjam for organising, wayfinding and sorting us out with a cracking breakfast on arrival!

  • Tunnels were brilliant.

    Choo-choo!

  • Good stuff.

Which suggests we spent 2 hours either fixing punctures or dining out in the forecourt of a garage

Sounds about right, I'm impressed that park boot (thanks Howard) held the 100km+ it did. I guess they're a 'get you home' solution, and that's what they did!

  • A very fine ride, lovely weather and everything seemed to run smoothly on the night - many thanks for putting that together Ben, the perfect antidote to a niggly work day on Friday. My last four visits to Bath have all involved sunshine, beer and breakfast - definitely one of my favourite cities. The idea of ambling over to Glastonbury post ride seemed a good one on Friday - but the reality of beers for breakfast and hills en route meant it was never going to happen. Hope Chris got a ticket from the surprisingly helpful ticket fellow at Bath station. Tomorrow night might be tough...
