If by steroids you mean corticosteroids, like for inflammation. Then indeed a terrible thing to put in your body. Basically stress hormones, makes your body store fat and lose muscle tissue.
For a woman of average size, that calorie count may not be enough to drop fat. Depends of course. May I ask why you are pre-allocating a quantity of fat? Surely it does not matter how much fat you take in as long as it doesn't push you over you calorie quota?
I personally suggest for all people, just eat clean and your body will sort itself out. Very difficult to be fat if you are eating sensible foods, not matter how much of eat you eat. Meat, Vegetables and treat calorie dense carb sources as treats, not staples.
If someone is less concerned about body composition/health and just wants the scale to drop. Reliance on Fruit and Coffee (and little else) is great.
Yes, it's only a small dose, but its a form of corticosteroid. Up until recently the benefits have outweighed the risks.
The reason for restricting fat content too is that my body doesn't process fats efficiently. I am hoping with a huge boost of vitamin b2 daily this might change, but in the past the most successful way for me to lose weight has been to watch my fat intake as well as calories.
The calorie count should be enough to drop fat and lose it long term providing my calorie output in exercise is 1000+ at least four days a week.
