You can have pretty much any chainline you like from a converted disc hub, but around 46 gives a dishless wheel. Also much easier to add spacers to a disc hub, because you don't run out of threads like you do with conventional track hubs - I've yet to see one I'd trust with more than about 1mm of shimming, as the lockring threads aren't long enough beyond that.
