  • All UK made hubs are CNC'd off blocks of alu billet which is sort of OK but reliant on the aluminium arriving at the CNC machine being perfect. Which it can't be. And then you have to make sure they dont get corroded by salt etc.

    Taiwan/Malaysian stuff like Shimano hubs are forged which gets all your metal grains aligned properly and only then get CNC finished and anodised. I have never seen or heard of a Shimano hub failing.
