  • They're couplers. They allow you to split the frame in half for easier storage/transport.

  • ahahahahaaha repped

  • I'll put you on the waiting list then.

How long will it be, I know girders are tricky to mitre.

  • How long will it be, I know girders are tricky to mitre.

Is this really needed? You try starting a framebuilding business...

A lifetime? Maybe just a bit longer than a lifetime... but by then It will be too late.

    :)

  • so about as long as Dom's took then.

  • I don't have any time for anything but Fixed gear bikes. I tried a road bike last year for the 1st time in a while... It made me love Fixed even more.

    Tour De Wolvh

Andy, I know I have never met you and you may be different in real life, but you sound pretty full of it. 'It' being narrow minded and detractive to anyone's impression of you as an ambassador of cycling, let alone fixed specific riding.

I think when you move to LA, and maybe even spend some time in SF (although I am sure you have spent LOADS of time there already) you will realise that a lot of the people you mention, are ambassadors for both fixed and geared, and pretty fucking good at both too. You might even realise that to pretty much everyone your staunch anti-gears pro fixeh 'thing' is nothing short of anecdotal - although you are probably to committed to it to ever admit it.

Anyway, I'm sure you are going to come up with a superb and witty counter argument, and I am probably incorrect anyway. I think you should either enjoy the forum's evolution and many of the forum's world class fixed specific threads or do one and stop whining. See you in a month when I check back to see more fixeh pron and want to lust after deep crabonz and toight clearances.

Yes! I'm not in charge of that aspect so I don't know how long Dom's took.

Thank you. I do enjoy the forum's evolution. If I didn't I wouldn't be here.
I'm not an ambassador of anything. I only hope to highlight those that are.

I know those people I have mentioned are ambassadors for both Fixed and geared. I'm the first to admit I am a fixed fascist and everyone who knows me enjoys this aspect. It promotes healthy conversation and debate. I have never talked to anyone who did not in the end understand how passionate I am about riding Fixed, and even if they don't give in to the benefits/ethos I provide of riding fixed they do go away with a bit of curiosity.

Glad to have your calculated and unoffensive input! :)

  • not seen the slow / low though

Lol at VL trying to sell gash to mash

    Is this the asspokklalypze?

hide your kids, hide your wife.

    Megalolz

Apart from the obvious faults... the axle is dangerously short.

  • Mash, Stanridge and so many others have contributed a hell of a lot to fixed gear culture.

So if I get rich by selling overpriced, made in china fake horns to unicorn wannabes who believe my tales of unicorns that I constructed myself with the sole intention of selling horns, I should be praised for contributing to unicorn culture.

    You are ridiculous.

  • To be fair mash did and do a lot that's no just selling Cinelli frames.

  • come on, no one is suffering for fixed gear culture, because fixed gear culture is not real. It's not a thing that exists. We have people who found a way to make a living. And people who ride bikes for various reasons. Nobody is suffering, nobody is doing anything remotely significant, nobody deserves praise.

For a start unicorns only exist in your imagination...
The owners of Cinelli and Mash are not rich. You just perceive them to be.

You know more about unicorns than these brands, keep it that way.

I'm ridiculous because I know what these brands have done for fixed gear culture?

You are ridiculous sir with your deconstructed Cinelli logo that is terribly malformed into a P.

    :)

  • The French kids must have thought you a right prat struggling to change gear and freewheel

  • The French kids must have thought you a right prat struggling to change gear and freewheel

There were no French kids. It was all Europeans in huge campers jostling for position near the action. We were riding everyday to the action. Just because I detest gears it does not mean I don't know how to handle a road bike.

  • Everyone loves to take low blows on here don't they.

    Keep em coming. :)

  • I'm also moving to LA in September so there will be even less of a reason to visit here too.

I just want to make sure I don't miss it.

I really fucking hope there will be another childish fad like electric skateboards or something which all the kids will be wanking over and all the cunts swarm in to cash on hoodies, hats, trainers, stickers and such. Electric skateboards 4 lyfe! Fuck rollerblades! Reprezentin'

Just relax... For most of us fixeh scene is *not *a business. We ride bikes. Sometimes only for a mile. To the nearest pub. Problem?

  • Not a single one!
