Could not have put it better myself. Thanks I'll use that.
Do you want credit for it? I'll make sure I drop your name in.
I'm relatively comfortable with appropriation... so no need. ;-)
Seriously though. Everyone can take from cycling what they want. It seems a shame you feel there's no place for trackbikeridingontheroad within that. Best of luck in the US.

Do you question Kim Peek's way of thinking?
he didn't ride a sick fixeh though. I'm not sure that an autistic savant is the most useful character for me to model my thinking on, or indeed how it's relevant here.

Mr. Pancake, how do you feel about members of Mash like Chas riding geared bikes? Surely this devalues their authenticity and contributions to fixed gear culture?
Chas came from a cycling background and made his name in the cycling industry through riding fixed. He is an ambassador for fixed, but he won't turn down a paid for adventure, with his buddies the other side of the world on a geared bike.
Most people would accept this especially if they have come from a cycling background. I would not accept.
Chas rides fixed 99% of the time he is on a bike.

I never mentioned that he did. You are talking about my way of thinking and how it relates to riding fixed. I am saying that I think differently and the way I think is working fine for me.

Andy, I expect hatred from roadie toward the fixie skidder, but not the other way round from you, you're usually better than that.

Not to add support to the wank that Andypancake is spouting, but Prolly did tweet something interesting a few weeks ago, along the lines of '70% of 'fixie' blogs went 30% engaging to 100% boring with cat 5 race reports.'
I'd prefer to read about rad fixie shit than Rudy Melo finishing in the bunch in a crit.

Unfortunately Ed, it is inevitable. Locals only!

See that hashtag really removes any credibility from your argument.

That's my small bit of humour...
I'm not arguing. I'm telling you how it's going to happen.

To be fair, that hashtag was obviously a joke.

I'm going to tie a brake cable to a 14r frame, and use it as a boat anchor for my pedalo...

I'll put you on the waiting list then.

The mag will stay the same. Most of the content and demand comes from the USA. The only way it reaches the US at the moment is via subscriptions.
