  • Some people have tabs sewn on, some people have their own box of fresh pins. I have never wrecked a skinsuit from number pinning, and I only do short distances so I should go through them quicker than y'all high mileage riders.

  • willing assistants are necessary given that I don't have a van or other enclosed space to get changed in.

Learn how to a: pin your own number on to a suit you're already wearing and b: not be afraid to show the world your body. Unless you're super hot, nobody will be looking anyway, they all have better things to worry about than a 2s flash of your arse.

  • 2s arse flash... new PB

  • At my local TT we make a chain of people pinning each other's numbers on

  • I'm sure you do...

    (a) It's tight. The skin suit, that is. Very tight. And my limbs, never the most supple of things, are not going to be able to pin a race number on myself. The chances of me ever being able to reach around (fnar) and pin my own number on are nil.

    (b) One of the HQs we use most often is a car park next to a sports ground. Usually occupied by fresh-faced youngsters on football training evenings. The other testers might be unconcerned by a quick flash of Brommers Buttocks, but I suspect the girls under-13 football group may not be so nonchalant. And I'd like to stay off the Sex Offenders Register if possible.

And anyway, it would take waaaaay more than 2s. It takes me a good 5 minutes just to squeeze myself into the damn thing.

    Sounds dead romantic

^^ hippy, where did Mal get the loops from?

  • They're just bits of elastic she had in her sewing kit.

  • 7am start time on sunday.
Going to get up at 4:30am and turbo at 6am the next few days to acclimatise.
    Bit early for me.

  • The early bird gets the worm.

  • Ha.
I do tend to get up 7-8am most days and soon out on the bike. However I can't say I'm often knocking out threshold at 7am. Should be an 'experience'. Well 6:30am, as I'll warmup for a bit.

  • Hi sandy do you still Have the garmin 705 for sale ??

  • However I can't say I'm often knocking out threshold at 7am

The early worm gets eaten by the early bird.

    Or something.

    nope

  • 24:16 felt like a SB but was about 9 seconds slower which is a shame. On the witney a40 course it might have been.

  • Few more tweaks to Shiv position, trying to open hip angle and bring elbows nearer. Cut down steerer but more needs to come off before the funky little aero cap thing willfit. Very ssweaty turbo on it tonight. Furry eyeballs I have.

7:37 for me but I may still be up at stupid O'Clock if we all use the van to get there

  • Hippy we need pics of the Shiv... Where are you guys racing on Sunday?

  • It's not finished yet and I was keeping it quiet for maximum psyche out effect on the opposition.

Where do you think you could've got those 9 seconds?
