I sympathise with anyone who believes it's necessary to put GRIP-TAPE around their top tube so that it doesn't slip down their shoulder whilst descending stairs. I call enthusiastic, if not mis-guided.

Surely if the 'everyday fixie' is used every day (as let's face it, the name does very much suggest) there'd be no room for any other fixies in this guy's life?
Hence the grip tape must hold an importance which far exceeds our simplistic comprehension.

I actually wrapped that whole frame in leccy tape and inner tubes. To protect the carbons from kerb drops.
