  • Hi everyone, I am looking for a trailer that can carry heavy loads. There is a 'bikes at work' trailer on gumtree for 500 but looking for something for less. I am about to attempt a bike compost collection business and am seeing what is around. Thanks, phil.

  • Carry Freedom.

  • some of you may know that I am now working with London's Newest Cargo Bike company London Green Cycles

I really think they're on to something good (or i wouldn't be working there) ...
It's a bit different, and both Roman and Chandra believe in the importance of the right bike for the job.. it's so very exciting and refreshing!

WE HIRE bikes as well as sell and offer a try before you buy scheme as well.

I'm really liking these - which are new to the UK Bicicapace
and Douze Traveller which is fun and comes apart.. and the very well known Christiania - which most people already know.

  • Please drop in, in-person or on line. We're also on the FB.. shameless plug for likes here

is this you? your photo? If i credit can i reuse in my blog?

  • I thought this thread would be the best place to ask - can anyone recommend a decent cargo carrying trailer that is easily attached to and detached from a range of different bikes please?
I have no idea about such things but am in need of one, cheers.

  • Bob Yak?

  • ^^ Carry Freedom http://www.carryfreedom.com/ is best for load carrying also you can get additional hitches so can use on more than one bike

  • Thanks chaps.

  • Would love one of these prototype Omniums!

Test rode one of them in CPH a few weekends ago, nice and agile but very tetchy at low speeds when loaded up. Granted I was tipsy and the 'load' was a 6 foot something german guy but it didn't instill confidence in the design!

  • Douze traveller is great.

  • ^^
    Looks so awesome.

  • I'm quite happy with my cargo mutant
the gearing mounted enables me to ride in the wind and go up and down small elevations with a reasonably heavy load, I may change the rear rack, but nothing big bucks as is predominantly a work(mutant)horse/beater
found some fenders I like on evilbay, so will hopefully have them on soon

also found some old stock Batavus frame touch up paint which i used to refurb where i cleaned orf rust
i have to get right colour nail polish/humbrol enamel for top coat

I'm with Zebra.. the carry freedom is pretty decent and i love the folding feature.

Sorry, I missed this. Its not me, nor my photo, but I'm sure if you credit the photographer and link to his flickr, it should be fine.

  • Get em young

  • That is very sharp, a nice alternative to all the pedal cars that litter homes and kindergartens around here.

  • Excepting the hoppy brew, that is an appealing mess.

  • genius, Noomad transforms bicycle into three-wheeled cargo bike
sorry can't imbed picture but well worth a look

The question is whether you can set it up to take more than a set of panniers. Otherwise I'm not sure it's got a significant advantage... although it does put the weight in a low and stable form.

^^ would you actually be able to ride that with all the weight?

I realise it's a cargo bike but won't two kegs be quite heavy?
