Christ, that was some serious suffering, the ride had everything - amazing route over the Yorkshire moors, pennines, lake district to name only a few, the weather was challenging - sunny with showers then heavy rain at night, thick fog in the morning then more showers Sunday, we had about 30 mins sleep in a bus stop over the whole ride and one of the controls, in Hexham was basically in a kebab shop at kicking out time - wet, lycra clad males and drunk locals together at last. I was suffering from the start and it never stopped.
5 Audax Club Hackney riders started together, 5 finished together.
