batteries went flat so i put in brand new duracel ones. it would not even turn on. i had to do some research to discover the problem is the battery connectors are recessed behind a bit of plastic, the positive end of the battery have to fit through a hole to get to the contacts. but the hole is too small for the end of a duracel battery, i had to put bits of aluminium foil in to make the contacts work
