Hahaha.. someone not taking too kindly to being photographed for Google Maps...
-
• #229
Nope, I still don't get it/can't see it?! Explain?
Look up…

nice collection of vintage bikes
-
• #232
why would you do that? ............... so wrong
-
• #233
I don't know who it is or where it is, but there's nothing at all wrong with photographs from a public highway being taken and put on the internet.
However, the person in question if identified has the right to request removal.
So whilst it was reported as being a privacy intrusion, I'm unconvinced... what can be seen from a public highway is not, and was never, private.

Yeah, I have no idea who it is or where it is, since it wasn't linked to a google map ref. so I left it.

Has anyone seen the cars driving round again recently? Small back car with a blue globe stuck on the roof. Spotted it three times now. Wonder when the new images will be up.
-
• #241
I've seen it a few times about a month ago, should be updated soon.

I was caught on the streetview camera recently just as I got to the top of swains. Hoping to see it on there soon.

Just been playing around with the new beta of Google Maps. One of the layers is for cycling. Amongst the roads it counts as cycle friendly are Green Lanes, part of the gyratory round Tottenham Hale, Camden Road, bits of the Old St. roundabout, Regent St. and so on.
Plus it's bloody slow

• #244
It's unusable. and I don't mean the roads.
-
• #245
Yep, one of the bonuses of them switching over to vector graphics is that however much you zoom in and out it still won't fill in the missing tiles.

the bloke in the photo can't quite believe how big it is either !
look at him giving you the beady -

I saw a friend of mine on Google Street View about 3 years ago in Camden Town. Stupidly I assumed it'd be there forever and not updated, so I never screencapped it. Is there ANY way I can retrieve the old Street View at all? Wayback machine or something?

Email google?
-
• #249
I don't think there's any archive function that captures StreetView images. At a guess, his face would have been blurred out a while ago, anyway. It was only initially that you could identify individuals. Not much hope, I'm afraid.

Cheers lads, thought as much! I can't quite remember if his face was blurred out but I am certain it was him, I remember being very surprised when I stumbled across it. Quite a recognisable guy. I guess i'll be emailing them in the small chance they'd come up with something!
Hehe, how did that happen?
