  • Does anyone know where i can get a set of these in 170mm?

  • With chainring? - http://www.grahamweighcycles.com/gwcshop/product.php?id_product=154

Cheers, looking for as cheap as possible so probably without. Looks like the 165mm ones can be picked up for 60 new which is a lot cheaper.

  • either.

  • Yes please and how much would you be after?

  • I used to ride a Sram S300 but as I got a few sounds which I can`t get rid of I am thinking about getting a new crank.

The RD2 would match my budget but I am thinking about its stiffness. Rode a Miche Advanced Pista before the S300 and it flexed quite a lot :( Is the RD2 stiffer or does it all depend on that external bb the S300 uses?

  • I've had a couple of sets of rd2 cranks. They're ok but not amazing. For the money you can buy an old (90s usually) shimano square taper road chainset on ebay. Aim for 600 or dura ace. They are the same 130 BCD so your messenger type chainrings will all fit. They give a good chainline with a 107mm bottom bracket and they are noticeably stiffer than the rd2. Plus they look better imo.

  • I have a set I'm not too fond of, 170 mm and silver. They've been used for a couple of weeks and still in quite good state, some minor damage from pedal stroke. PM me if interested.

  • Wouldn't go for these cranks. Haven't used them but have heard bad things about them.
I've just bought these and am very happy. great for the price. They have external BB and are 144bcd. Beware they have logos.
