No offense, but to be honest my predominant thought when looking at this thread is...
That happens to be a particularly unfortunate example (just poorly executed, for a start). There's no reason tattoos and mods can't compliment a face.
Then again, the old argument that "I do not dress just to satisfy the male gaze" can apply to more than just clothes. Not sure whether the girl on the other page would be taking that stance.
