  • DAS'd a chap on a really nice red Lopro on portobello. I was driving the mini. You got stopped turned around and became seriously aggressive and told me that if said that again you would kick my car in....
Must have been having a bad day!

Trying to work out what he might have thought he heard you say. The first misinterpretation that springs to mind would be pretty anti semitic.

  • Yellow fixed with black rims no brakes.followed you from Westminster to lambeth north. Inspired me to get off my bike at next lights and swap my wheel round........
Don't know how you guys do it, had to keep telling my self out loud to not stop pedalling. Both feet came off the pedals at E and C, rode home much slower trying to work out how to slow stand up on the pedals. Couldn't get used to starting off again if my right pedal was down low. Managed a skid at Camberwell green but more of a fluke than on purpose, and then brakes on all the way down Sunday avenue.

Got home and swapped the wheel straight back to ss

Riding fixed is a skill I just don't have but loving my ss

  • ^ Do you have any foot retention? This would help prevent your feet flying off the pedals. I don't think riding fixed is a skill so much as a technique that needs a little practise. :)

  • Shush you. Let's go with Awesome!

  • You rode it for five minutes and already made up your mind.

Man the fuck up, it take some people a couple of week to get the hang of it, my girlfriend said it's pretty much like learning to ride again, only properly this time.

  • My missus had it worked out in five minutes. She said to me the other day that she actually misses her bike.

  • My mum was already fixed.

    No wait...

  • You'll get used to riding fixed fairly quickly. I find it offers a lot more control. I went back to single speed for an evening because one of my toe clip cages broke. It was horrible; severe lack of control and I felt wobbly.

  • And it's super addictive. Single speed will never compare to fixed.
