Steam is ok (provided you remember to enable off line access while you still have inet, really should be default). I was avidly against it at first, but now I'm so used to it I get annoyed when I have to use uPlay or some other interface. It's all about pricing, I've no problem with DRM/Digital if it's priced correctly.
Oh and at least with PC if Steam tanks, there's cracks to remove the DRM. And if they get upset with you, you still don't lose your games (I'm looking at you EA, banned in community = all your games gone).
