I'm assuming once the people have bought the console, updates will occur incrementally which will bring the DRM vision to pass.
I'm not a fan of Microsoft, and DRM in general, but its the way things are going, and the fanboy nation getting up in arms about change isn't really going to change the position.
Microsoft back down now, bring it back in two/three years time, when gamers can't do without their blackbox under the tv.
