• Bars were a concern for me initially but the track is quite wide unlike most criterium circuits and Goodwood is a fast motor circuit so the corners are smooth and sweep round gradually with only the second to last and last corner needing any consideration for line and speed. I've ridden round it in a group before and provided people hold a racing line and don't suddenly start skidding to shave speed then the likely hood of a crash/pile up is slim. It's a crit anyway so it's all about going for the front and if you fuck up there is miles of space to run off unlike in the Redhook series and most club organised crit races.
