2nd in the forum league after stage 2 in qatar....at least the fantasy game makes it a bit interesting, given that the varied landscape and huge crowds are what you might expect from qatar...

Is there a velogames tdf league for 2013?
Team Amigo Farmer-Quicksand is looking for some lfgss rivalry...

I've signed up for the cyclingnews fantasy TdF this year, and I'm guessing there are others on the forum who've signed up too. So, who's in your team?
Here's mine...
Tony Martin
Cavendish
Sagan
Degenkolb
Kittel
Dan Martin
Froome
Porte
Bauke Mollema.OPQS are my team.
What do you think? Bring on the sprints!

How many sprinters are you allowed?
-
• #189
It says you need to pick 9 riders. So you could have 9 sprinters if you want/afford.
-
• #190
Weird. I thought you actually had to build a team (i.e., one GC, one sprinter, a couple of all-rounders, etc.). The one I played a couple of years ago was like that, anyway.

Seriously though, here are the rulez http://fantasy.cyclingnews.com/PresentationLayer/2105/PopUp/default.aspx?page=rules
-
• #193
Ha, fair enough.
-
• #194
If I understand the rules correctly you are allowed to make transfers during the race. 8 per week. Therefore at the moment my team consists mostly out of sprinters which I will transfer once the climbing begins.

^ far too complicated / involved... velogames is a much better option, pick your team of 9 and you're stuck with them and their performances, much like the real thing.

I've made a VeloGames one
-
• #198
I've also got a velogames team.
I took the liberty of setting up a LFGSS minileague.
If you go to the bottom right of your team page, then join league using code 24185203.
Don't know about being able to afford Sagan, Froome, Porte AND Cav mind!

Kinoko Cycles are running a competition - Join our league on the Road.cc game (77131) and we'll be giving prizes for whoever is in the top 5 each week. Additionally, if you have the most points by the end of the Tour, there is going to be a MASSIVE prize up for grabs...
Get involved chaps, I know you're all pretty clued up...
