  • go back to being grumpy about new members...

  • I couldn't give a Gareth Bales about da no0bz...

  • Do not want dog is lolz!

  • Technically speaking they've got one up on the competition this coming season.

Consistency in all senses, manager, players, finishing 4th. The lot.

Can't see any players leaving either, simply because none of the top clubs in Europe are interested in them.

They're laying out £50m on Higuain alone, surely internally they expect Arsenal to do better than last year.

Higuain won't cost anywhere near that much.

So Barca and Bayern aren't interested in Koscielny? or Vermaelen?
No champions league teams would want Cazorla, Wilshere, Podolski, Sagna, Walcott...

I think if we can shift a bit more of the utter shit that has accumulated under the fingernails of our squad and bring in some actual quality signings down the middle of the team, we'll be in with a chance.

Chelsea seem determined to fuck off their best player - strong tactics.

Villa put in a decent looking performance last night, admittedly against the mighty Tahiti but still shows the guy has bucket loads of quality...Spuds where are you!?

  • TS at least he's grown into his hair..

  • Loin - £140k a week for 5 years and a reported transfer fee of £22m.
£50m is indeed too low. After signing on fees and bonuses it will be closer to £65m.

  • Yup - total over the predicted contract length but I don't think we usually discuss transfers in terms of lifetime cost...

I read 100k a week wages, an increase on his current 65k - so that would be different as well...

Of course it's all total rumour/guess/speculation but I'm happy with that.

  • I just took you off ignore to see what sort of a reply a whopper like you would go for.

Wish I hadn't now, was hardly worth it.

  • Usually no, but this is what I read in one of the rags earlier this week and thought it was an interesting way of looking at things. To my defence I said that Arse were laying out xyz.

  • Yeah - fair enough.

Rumours of Thiago to Man Utd are getting stronger, which is pretty annoying.

  • Wondering whether the 130k figure is the uppermost limit, after performance bonuses, team achieving certain targets, playing a certain number of games etc..
To go from 65k to 130k seems a big ask, and Arsenal are usually smarter than that when it comes to signing players, though obviously, they haven't had to buy one in his prime for a while, so I'd assume on nothing more than hearsay and my own cognitive function that Higuain would be on like 90-100k, rising to more if they win shit loads

  • @Tenderloin, they've needed a midfielder for a while, Moyes has obviously seen the hole in the emperors new clothes and sworn to fill it..

  • He could be the answer to their midfield problems.

Read somewhere that Fellaini is definitely leaving Everton too.

  • @Jaw, where's the swindon one to declaim that Ross Barkley is the future of the Everton midfield.
    #weartheshirt

Also wonder whats going to happen to Jack Rodwell at City, will Pellegrini want to keep him, get him off their books. If he was to be let go, he's a possible bargain...

  • ...written by no-nothing cunt journalists.

    Translation - No nothing...
You're better than this, despite your bombastic tendencies.

  • fwiw - so Fellaini to Arsenal. If I were a gooner I'd be friggin excited if it happened.

  • Looking more and more likely now.

If it does happen, then it will certainly be a statement of intent.
He has proven top level ability - he is not the striker I would have chosen but we were rumoured for him back when he moved from River in the first place, so there is obviously a long standing admiration of him from Wenger.

I'd really like to tie up the Fellaini deal if there were truth in that, we were supposed to have met his buyout clause but as yet not had permission to speak to him? Which sounds like hot BS to me...

  • Rodwell, Sinclair, Tevez, Lescott, Barry and Kolarov all likely to be available at knock down prices

Pellegrini plays a tight organised midfield - I think he will really want cavani to spear head his attack but he is likely going to madrid. Could Gomez be the answer?

  • Rodwell will be staying - he'll take over from Barry. Our midfield will contain Navas, Silva and possibly Isco - tight?

  • Fernandinho, Toure, Garcia, Rodwell - so fourth choice at best again

Would you think nasri will look to leave?

  • Big squads innit these days. If we get Isco, Nasri might struggle. Rodwell is better than Garcia if he can stay fit.

  • Read somewhere that Fellaini is definitely leaving Everton too.

    Fuck me, you're quick

    Part exchange with Iniesta
