  • as some of you might know i'm loving steel
This is my first fillet brazed steel frame
The ideia is to built a bike with a steel frame with a carbon 1' 1/8 forks and set it with a compact road handlebar and low rims wheels.
I think this will be a perfect bike for long rides.

the frame still needs a lot of work
the fork will not be this one.
It will have a Chris King headset (i hope)

  • Brill looking bike!

  • Looks like it will eat miles for breakfeast! very nice

  • now with a track carbon fork ;-)

i can't wait to test this bike

  • Really?

Another one? You are killing me with all these bikes!

I have to go to Gafanha and put some of them on my car :)

    Nice one!

Have you allready choose the colour?

  • i love to ride fixed gear bikes and i love longer rides!
The bike that i use to do that is not as friendly as i like to my back and shoulders.
This one will be perfect for that ;-)

please come to Gafanha and we'll ride two of them

  • i have the wheels ready

now i must think about the color of the bike
    any ideias?

  • very nice clean frame !! fair play to you !

  • i tried the wheels with my other bike (just to feel the wheels)

  • Lovely bike. What seatpost is that?

  • it's nothing special
can't remember the brand of it. It's a carbon seatpost. I removed the brand logo. I prefer it like that. I'm thinking about doing the same thing with the fork

  • still thinking about the paintjob for it

  • Love this. As its all black components... any color will suit really. I would personally go for dark blue or purple to contrast your orange road bike. Something with sparkly bits in too.

  • hummm! i'm trying to imagine it with dark blue... ;-)

  • Orange to yellow fade :

  • i looooove that paintjob hugo7 but i also have this one

i know that it's not the same fade but...
the ideia is to make something like you said but with different colors

  • Maybe just this once, paint it with matching fork?

    More choice;

  • i must try to decide it before i buy the headset. Well, maybe i'll go for the Chris King but i must choose the color... my wallet will decide that
i know that a black Chris King headset will fit any paintjob...

but i'll make a degradee paintjob.
It has a carbon fork but i think i'm going to paint it too

  • Choose the paintjob first, then headset later.

  • yeap! That's the plan

  • finally i bought the Chris King headset

now i just have to make the color for the frame. I'm thinking (nothing for sure) about a silver/gold and playing with that...
Eh eh eh! It can go very wrong : )

  • Love the orange to yellow fade on co-motion.

  • black with that headset,

    matte black.

  • glup!!!
today was a paintjob day :P
i think it will look great but i'll have to wait until tomorrow to be sure about it. I must see the frame with the sunlight.
One thing i know for sure. It will be very hard to show (with photos) the real look of it.
Sometimes it seems gray, other times blue or silver... and a bit golden too
