No need to apologise, I totally understand where you’re coming from. Bikes like this should never be split, the only reason why I asked was because I was saddened at the thought of losing my own which, similar to yours, had stayed in its original form since ’89 and still rides like a dream – that’s the same age as me and, quite frankly, in a lot better condition.
Like when a pet dies, you can’t just replace it with the same breed and expect nobody to notice. Maybe it’s time for me to move on and start something new...
