^^ Toe overlap only becomes an Issue when navigating through tight spaces... if you have the room to go fast enough and not have to make such sharp turns no worries
As to running a 650c in the front on a frame not designed or intended it for use wouldn't be the end of the world but doesn't feel optimal for long distances from personal experience
that being said, i still do run a 650 in the front for kicks or for hill climbs every so often
