hi.
i bought a frameset and headset for a cheap project but noticed that the fork steerer wasn't properly assembled.
i decided to sell the frame on it's own... i could include the fork for free but it will ad weight to the package.
previous owner said he used the frame for over a year and wasn't aware of the problem. well, you could use the frameset as it is but the headset , at some stage, will have the cups used at one side quicker than the other cause the steerer is not really straight. bearings will also need replacement at some point.
i'm pretty sure the fork was badly assembled cause honestly, i couldn't imagine an impact that could affect the steerer like that. it is barely noticeable as you can see in the last picture but once you put a headset on, you'll feel it.
you could ride it as it is or buy a new fork which might be the best choice, depends on what kind of build you wanna do.
61cm seat tube c-c
58cm top tube c-c
27,2mm seat post diameter
italian threaded bottom bracket shell (i have a few that i could sell for cheap if interested).
i'm not sure of tubbing but it's surely something decent.
stickers can be easily removed.
price: 45 pounds cause it is indeed a very nice frame! plus postage from france which it should be no more than 25 pounds, will check once the frame is boxed with or without the fork.
here are the pictures:
just frames and fork (if you want) but a picture of the bike build to have an idea of geometry:
here is the problem on the fork which is slightly misaligned (the crown race will be removed). it's hard to see the problem even in the flesh but it is there:
