It's a great touring bike with a decent and comfortable upright position, brilliant handling, easy maintenance, copes with a variety of terrains, easy to load with luggage to last a while.

It's just a great bike.

Top heavy? very heavy to off road, did I mention heavy?

The easy maintenance part isn't that true. The recent ones are full of (substandard) electronics that go wrong all the time, completely disabling the bike and requiring recovery to the dealer, and clutches fail quite often. The 1100 is a more reliable machine.

Ride one for a bit but BQ is right and even the 1100 weren't that good. Multistrada is so much better.
