Rode through "the Village" on Saturday. Who knew Walthamstow had a village eh? More yummie mummies and bugaboo dads than hipsters though.
Oi! We've got a bugaboo

This is the pattern (but not the cut) of the classic Canadian jac shirt.
Cheap thick cotton flannel made in China (generally labeled as "Champion"), comfy as hell, and sadly no longer available.whaaa do you mean not available.. its EVERYWHERE.
and, at least when i was last home (in ontario) it was called a Mac. not a jack..

The ones by "Champion" are MIA in Winnipeg, have been for years.
'mac'?
Bunch of eastern loyalists can't even come up with an original appellation.

what on earth are the 2 guys to the right of the model wearing for that matter??
-
• #16592
Shoes and other attire, they wear it like cunts though, whereas the lady betwixt them is loving the models bellybutton and is wondering how she'd feel if her ears were warmer than her nipples.

Fuckin rep
I was 'around' at the start of the 70's as as i was born in 1971.
Shit, you must be in you 50's or 60's by now Grandpa? :-D
No, I'm 41. A year or so younger than you. I was merely saying that I wore a tartany shirt or two in about 83, about the time Smash Hits was a good read, for a tame sub-pubescent fey teenage pratt like me. And I generally don't ever get into a fad when it comes around again (and again and again) which is why I would never wear all-stars or dms again. I do still wear shit clothes still but I try not to revisit my past mistakes.
-

Skully, you wore "tartany shirt" because you was a kid and kids wear shirts like these. It's not the same like the current fashion of the given era. I still wear Chuck Taylors, but only with certain pair of jeans.

so many rules...
I've worn plaid since I was a kid, not about to stop.

I wear the same clothes and drop in and out of fashion as times change.
A few years ago I started tapering too big trousers to fit my fat thighs, and ended up having "carrot" trousers before they appeared in the shops. By now they are probably out again, but I am still wearing.
Never stopped wearing Hawaiian shirts which seemed to have come back in.

I'll wager that there's a few miscreants amongst us guilty of wearing a Lord anthony Parka back in the day
I was told that the wearer's got these with free school dinners at my school, but never asked directly out of politeness -

They are made by a brand called Snorkel if I recall. The funnest coat to have as a kid. Full of pockets, buttons, an elaborate hood etc..
There is a reason why both that kid in "East is East" and Kenny in southpark never take it off.
-
• #16599
we used to be wicked sometimes when little and zip the kids wearing them up live in them right to the top, so, we really pre dated the south park writers with that look

also
the kids who i knew who wore them usually smelt
