My last wrap of Fizik Soft Touch Microtex wore fuzzy in a surprisingly short amount of time, so I decided to go for the normal black Mictrotex tape (leather-looking stuff) this time round.
It's fucking horrible.
The back of the old Soft Touch tape was black (or rather, the tape was likely dyed right through). Very stealth, nice thin edges, real 'don't look at me' bar tape.
The new stuff has the whitest, Daz-advert backing known to man, and appears to be twice as thick as ST at the edges, which are also as bright as Dale Winton's teeth. Every perforation glows like dandruff on a black suit jacket. Quite pissed off. Might have to ride the bike with filthy bare hands for a bit.
