• This bike has caused me nothing but trouble and has to go. I can only hope it brings someone else a little bit of joy... keep your expectations low and your wallet closed until you have read all the bad bits.

    Size: 57cm² (c-c)

    The good bits:
This orange lemon started it's life on the Calshot track in Hampshire where it was custom built for an olympic rider in training, I can possibly find out more info about it's history, but that's all I know currently.
It's made from Columbus Air tubes and has a neat cut-away on the seat tube to allow for a tighter rear end.
Everything can loosely be described as working 'as-is', however:

    The bad bits:
The bike was rattle canned a while back (originally electric pink), I started to remove some of the paint before realising there was a dent in the chainstay from what looks like a dropped chain... I no longer see this as a restoration project because of this and have left the paint job in a "please kill me now" state.
The brake calipers may look the part but provide no braking power what-so-ever... this bike has a hard time slowing down on a steep incline, let alone down hills... speed demons beware.
The rear wheel is original and HEAVY, the only thing it's good for is providing a slight anchoring effect that somewhat counters the bikes inability to stop, it has a slight buckle to boot.
The front wheel runs true but feels false, it's a cheap and nasty replacement for the original wheel (which had a badly split seam).
The seatpost is included with the frame, woo! (Unfortunately it's badly pitted from the grub screws and looks terrible if raised out of the frame any higher than pictured.)
There is a sharpy lightning bolt on the frame (don't ask), someone added carrera decals at some point although only the glue remains now.

    Parts breakdown:
    Columbus Air frame/forks/post
    Polished profile bullhorns
    3T mutant stem
    Nifty shimano headset
    Mono-pivot brakes (Campy?)
    Athena BB
    Sugino 170mm cranks
    Suntour single-sided shifter
    Crappy giant saddle
    Crappy Alex front wheel
Crappy original rear wheel (5 speed)
Crappy shimano mech (looks crappy, functions well)
I can add some period-correct pedals if needed

I'm based in Bethnal Green and am around most evenings.

    £175, pics below.
