Pop in to Bike Boutique, they should have spokes that length, or Keep Pedalling...
-
• #4828
DP18 should be a strong enough rim to make do for a week or two.

Currently a week involves me doing around 600km. So i'll be getting it fixed ASAP.

Just noticed a spoke on my rear has snapped. Where is best for repair and what will the approx cost be? I have Thurs and Friday off, ideally i'd like a quick turnaround as generally i ride everyday.
PM Snottyotter. Not sure if hes back thursday or friday though.
I think I'll have a spoke that length, I have a spoke thread roller so if you can only get a bit longer you can borrow that at polo and if you bring it to polo on thursday we can give it a quick fix if rob isnt back.

Circa 1960 Holdsworth Cyclone for auction
I'm holding an auction to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support this Friday 7th June. Among the items to be auctioned is the above bike. I don't know much about bikes, I'm afraid, but these are the details I do know:
Frame: 56
Olimpic Sprint Pedals
Front derailleur: Shimano Thunderbird II
Rear derailleur: Shimano 600
Stronglight TS CrankThe bike was the pride and joy of its former owner, who loved it and cared for it from buying it in around 1960 to when he died of cancer 6 years ago. Pictures (as well as more information about the rest of the auction) here: macmillanauction.wikispaces.com

Does anybody have a frame (and fork) in the regions of 58cm for sale? Preferably with mudguard eyelets. I'd need it for a town/touring bike with enough clearance for 700x32 tires. Preferably around £60. Also if possible a left hand, braze on down tube lever.

Got campag mirage double (53/39), in black (apart from where my shoes have rubbed and it's shiny. Lowish mileage £20
Yeah i have measured and it's 274mm so gonna phone round a few shops to see if i can get hold of one today, the wheel is probably 2/3 mm out. Survived my commute this morning.
It's a Weinmann dp18 rear built to a Miche hub from V Sprint. Has survived over 5000 miles of me battering it on Manc roads. This is the first trouble i've had with them. Highly reccomended wheels.
