They only know each other from that one exchange with my bike involved afaik. But I will contact him at some point unless anyone here recognizes Daniel. This because it's not at all morgasms fault so he shouldn't have to be bothered by this anymore. He's traded a bike for money and now it's my problem.

what was wrong with the frame ? looked good in the pics . is it bent ?

Hi, I bought a nice 653 cougar frame off colnagokid recently, and he has been very nice and posted the frame carefully packaged. When I dropped it off at brixton cycles, however, they told me that the frame has been crashed before and is not worth getting built up. Now colnagokid has not been responding to my pms for about 5 days, and I frankly feel that he should take it back, as it is clearly not fit for purpose. Has anyone experienced similar problems with buying from him (he has quite a few sales threads)? thanks, kaya

^hi, yes it is bent, the fork is not straight, and the head tube has been pushed back and is twisted. The guys at Brixton Cycles told me that it looks like it has definitely been in a crash, and I shouldn't bother to build it up.

Hey sorry, I've been too busy to think about it really. I've gone and got the guy's number off of someone who has dealt with him previously. I've also got his address. I'll ring him up tomorrow. I haven't named him as there is very little reason for him to actually give me back the money, if I name him what other leverage do I have? I just want my money back.

edit: any suggestions on how to get my money back, I'm going to give him a call tomorrow and see, but i'm not hopeful. Just a pain in the arss really.

If it does turn out to be a legit address/phone no your ultimate port of call should be the police, since this is theft. But i'm sure if the guy concerned answers the door he won't want it to get that far...

Perhaps get a rough description of his appearance from the seller before you go? So he can't be mysteriously "not at home ever". And take mates of course.

Yeah, I know, I got burned, I would say I wouldn't do it again but the money saved through gifting probably exceeds that I lost.

It's fraud, not theft. Get his address / details from Paypal. Apply for a court order if necessary.

that said, the police won't do any active investigation but if you can supply a name address and description, and are belligerent they might possibly send someone round

can only reiterate, don't buy from colnagokid, he sold me a frame that is unfit for use (seriously bent forks and headtube) and has gone silent on me. He has ignored all my pms for the last two weeks.

I sent payment to him 2 months ago for a hub. Haven`t any communication since the payment was sent. Obviously hope he is ok, but would be nice to have some update from him...

Never heard of him on the Birmingham forum. Do you have any more info about him?

It's been four months now trying to get my bike (bought off morgasm) shipped to Finland. Daniel Prendergast (cubism@lfgss) was the guy supposed to pick it up and ship it. He offered to help and his profile and previous dealings on LFGSS seemed to check out good.

I've tried desperately to get in touch with him but so far no luck. If anyone knows anything about cubism please let me know. Very disappointed in how the whole thing was handled on his part but since he hasn't even logged on Skype or LFGSS in four months there's always the off chance something has happened.

Yes, morgasm and cubism did the exchange four and a half months ago or something. I got the exact dates and all and logs from everything as well.

As said before, a guy off here went to view a frame he was selling so would have an address (maybe no longer current) but if you are too worried about sending a few pm's to people to try and get a bit of info, then you should probably forget all about it.

You can bet your ass I've been trying to get info by sending pm's but of course you haven't seen these private messages so they haven't happened.

Reading my last post now I realise I was in a bit of a mood. Apologies krankers, I'm quite annoyed by the fact I'm living on a £3 daily budget the past month because of wasting £400 on the bike nearly four months ago.

Anyway morgasm (the seller) isn't responding now either but I'm sure he's got a number or something for me eventually.

its ok m8, i'd be pissed off too. The guy that went to view the frame is a prolific poster on here. Has he not come back to you with an address?
