"The rear tube does not hold air."
Probably a safety feature, to prevent the front tube from taking your face off.

What's wrong with that Speedvagen all of a sudden?
It's no different from most bikes in this thread nowadays...Sram22, Enve 3.4, Quarq, Chris King, 'high end steel' - probably rides like a charm.
Actually a good paint job on a vagen, all teamed up for a great cause and now this
became the high light of American wankery..?? Fuck off. -

^+1.
White saddle can >>>>>>>> but apart from that, I'm digging it. -

There's something about that Leave It On The Road thing that makes me uncomfortable, and I can't quite put my finger on it. Something to do with it being a charitable effort - and you can't criticise that motivation at all, plainly - but doing such a thing with such an extraordinary level of personal branding and sponsorship, on ostentatious luxury road bikes… I dunno. Looks like a pretty nice holiday to me.

Perhaps read this.
Don't know about you, but I can't honestly criticise somebody for doing a charity ride on a cool bike. Much rather see that rolling through the countryside than some gaudy TdF Team replica.
As for the riders themselves, they appear to be fortunate and unfortunate in equal measure. Their mission doesn't leave me uncomfortable. -

As I said,
you can't criticise that motivation at all, plainly
No qualms with their 'mission' or aim. Just that they do seem to talk a lot about themselves and what an awesome experience it's going to be. Good luck to them, honestly. I hope it all goes well and they raise as much money as possible.
Both of my siblings went to medical school and are doing amazing things and helping people every day. And my mom dropped a 30 year career to go to nursing school in her 50’s so that she could help others the way our nurses helped my family.
^ that stuff, I have infinite respect for.
Don't get me wrong, what they're doing is all good, it just looks a bit vainglorious to me. Maybe I'm just a miserable old sod.

no, this is what this thread is about. you take a bike out of the context, and judge it. as it is, story behind it is irrelevant here.
and you can become a cunt, its a porn thread so nobody cares. -
• #77271
errr, it's just a bike
-
• #77272
Matter of opinion I would say.
Yes, but it's right opinion :-)

'tester always has the right opinion.

For me it's the stem and seat post / mast thingy that ruin it. Some components shouldn't be colour coded. Stems in particular are a very difficult thing to get right.
Purple anodised hubs have no place in this thread
