That's what strikes me too.... all my jeans go bust in the in-betweens, after just 6 months.

Having said that, I've recently discovered (at my parents), some old 501s.
About ~15yrs old too. Thick as horse shit.
The crotch was intact, but then again, not much cycling in those. -

Tempted with the 10oz solid indigo twill, it'd be the lightest pair of jeans I've bought in 10 years. $99 is a good price but I can see myself blowing the crotch on them in 6 months or so.

Anyone interested in buying a pair if Nudie Grim Tim Open Dry Selvedge jeans? Size 31/32 although the actual waist measurement is 32. They are a 12oz denim, so great for summer and have blue Nudie detailing on pockets
Brand new with tags. I would like £85
Same as these http://www.oipolloi.com/nudie-jeans-co-indigo-hands-grim-tim--open-dry-selvage
Thanks. -

Also picked up these "cheaper" Money denims with contrasting selvedge strips at the same price. Though I had to take off the rear pocket with it's gash design logo thingy:

Not that they are proper or selvedge but I ripped my Levi commuter jeans on the thigh, any recommendations on where to get them sewn up? Or should I just go to the dry cleaners next door?

You're just bitter because some free ones you got tore.

Levi's commuter are a bit shite tbf.

I like mine. Nice skinny fit, stretchy, comfy as fuck and they have taken a pounding. Unwashed for a year they're going to have some epic fades. In fact I like them so much I asked my parents to pick me up another pair on their recent trip to San Francisco.
Stiff selvedge, low waists and cycling don't go in my experience so the commuters are ideal.

Anyone interested in a pair of barely worn basic Asos slim selvedge jeans 32R for £20 posted?
-
• #1095
I'd say they fit more like a 33-34" though.

NO. Anything can break. What I didn't like was how they dealt with it. None making cycling garments for the right reasons would behave the way they did. Geddit? Don't forget, if good service is received then I'd eulogise.

Selvedge and cycling?
I've had these for about a year and they're still gong strong. very comfy and the knee articulation seems to reduce friction. If anything goes wrong, you know they'll treat you right.

Cool. They look decent. My folks just got back with my 2nd pair of commuters though and no complaints from me. What happened with their customer service with your free pair?
Anyway, I see the RPMWest kickstarter is finished. Looking forward to seeing how they are.

He wasn't a customer, so there wasn't any service.

That was kind of my point. :)
I can never get a pair of jeans past about 200 wears before the crotch blows.
Am I doing it wrong?
