Literally 'oh shit' moments the last few mornings.
The contraflow cycle lane on Petty France goes past Wellington Barracks. Horseguards are based there and take the horses out at 4-5 in the morning.
The cycle lane isn't very wide, kerbs both sides (so you can't swerve out), and has piles of horse shit every 6 foot or so.
At least on Birdcage Walk, the road is wide enough to shoulder check and then swerve round the shit.
