"Oh Shit" moments...

My youngest is 10. From the moment he was born, the very idea of deliberately putting myself in a position that could mean he grew up without a dad went out the window with other childish things.

You have a child.

You have a responsibility to that child.

Don't be a dick and grow up. If you're old enough to have a child then you really need to stop acting like one yourself.

I hear your perspective and I have friends who quit surfing because they had children then followed the same logic. I get your position.

Not really planning to ride a granny bike now or quit entirely.

Some people quit due to responsibilities and that's fine. While others push themselves even harder when they have responsibilities. It's your choice the same it's mine.
