  • Considering a hop to the X100 from a 5D too. What's the main differences between the X100 and the X100s?

  • Have a butcher.http://www.kenrockwell.com/fuji/x100s.htm

Their film simulation is apparently greatly improved, having said that I'm still very happy with my X100.

  • Greatly improved autofocus and manual focus...

  • Thanks guys - x100s is almost 1k may just stump for the x100. Sigma DP is my go to camera and I'm wondering of the X100 would replace that.

  • Greatly improved autofocus and manual focus...

I would quite like this as the X100 is sometimes slow and on occasion misses focus entirely, but I have never actually lost out on a shot because of it. For double the price, I'd still go for the original.

  • I completely agree with the best camera is the camera you have with you and more often than not I'm reaching for a compact over an SLR now, which is a shame as I absolutely love the 5D.

  • I made the jump from Canon DSLR and L glass to X100 last month. Taken more pictures in the last month than the previous 24 months combined. Very happy. Helps that the black edition with red shutter button is just a lovely thing to look at and play with too.

  • You can buy a red shutter button separately that'll feel nicer than the current offering.

What I hate about the X100 is that it's easy to turn it on.

  • Y'all need to learn a lesson from forumengers like this one, who climbs mountains with an RB67!

  • Yeah, I bought one separately. It doesn't come with one as is.

You mean, turn on accidentally? The most annoying thing I've found is that I like to use the lens hood, but I also like to use the leather case. The two, however, are not compatible.

Which forumenger's tumblr is that? It's brilliant.

  • 'Tis Nefarious'

  • What about the difference to the X10?

May go have a play around with them in John Lewis at lunch.

  • X10 have no electronic viewfinder and the sensor slightly bigger than a typical compact camera (Sony RX100 is nearly twice as big)

The X20 is the one to go for - electronic viewfinder mean you can actually use the viewfinder to calculated and take photos.

  • some dead cheap x10 to be had second hand though!

  • Selling my Panasonic GX1 with the famous Lumix 20mm f1.7 pancake and a Panasonic 14mm f2.5

All in good condition, with boxes, manuals etc, part from the 14mm lens.

    Looking for

    £150 for body
£180 for 20mm f1.7, incl Hoya UV filter that's been on there since I got the lens
    £80 for 14mm f2.5 lens

No scratches on lenses, everything's working perfectly and is in great condition. Never been out in the rain or cold. Hasn't seen much use at all tbh as I've been shooting film lately, so not many shutter actuations. Can take photos of the kit, but you know how it looks.

Price negotiable if you get the lot. Pickup in Dalston or Shoreditch, can post at cost if you paypal in advance.

No interest all day, odd for being lfgss. Too expensive?

  • Seems like a real bargain...

  • Finally finished editing all my Japan photos:

Nice one, really like those, the place just looks amazing. Japan is definitely at the top of my list of places to go.
