OK, so I'll be down next week. Can anyone recommend somewhere nearby with secure cycle parking? I'm happy to pay if needs be. Storage needed from 10:30 to 3:00ish...
Also welcome to leave it in the secure bike parking at my university (2 min cycle or 10 min walk from KGX/STP) if that is any use.

Thanks for all the replies folks. Looks like I'll be OK to leave it in my old office on Fleet Street. See you next week.

Hi guys, don't know where else I should post this, so maybe you can help me from here:
I'm building my new bike and so far everything went well. But I guess I have a major problem now:
I have a crank with a 34 and a 36 chainring. So I wanted to get a 20t freewheel. But my rear hub (a DMR one) has only got a small thread (!)... What I only learned now - that there are different ones...So what can I do now? 1) I can change the cranks to 4-arm (expensive) and have a 24T on the front and a 14T on the back or 2) change the rear hub and go for a better freewheel with 20T (I had a BLB 20T with 120 clicks already, but gave it back now).
I tend to the option to change the hub. But as I remember it was really hard to get a 36h rear hub... They don't exist anymore.
What would you do or do you have by any chance parts you can help me with? Or an idea where I can get eg. a 135mm 36H rear hub with a normal singlespeed thread from? High flanges? -

Which DMR hub?
-
• #14409
Single speed for 15t and below I would imagine (check out the available in bit of those page: http://www.dmrbikes.com/products/hubs/single-speed-screw-on-freewheel ), it will be cheaper to get new hub not cranks and I would have thought having the more normal thread size would be better too.
Also wouldn't be surprised if someone made bigger freewheels for the smaller threads. But either way 36 h hubs are hardly rare are they?

It's a 135mm 36H disk (although I won't have disc brakes) with only mini single speed thread
-
• #14411
Yes, 36h are rare. On that link of yours Louis, it says that these hubs with normal thread are actually available... well and I only got a mini one because I didn't know... just I can't find these hubs in any shop

Have you built up the rear hub yet?
-
• #14413
If you are thinking of buying another DMR hub, 135mm 36H standard thread 47.66 quid:

• #14414
Yeah I built it already. But I guess I'll rip it apart again... That'll be the best solution.

Spoke too soon... Still waiting for g'f to get back... Getting to the point where it might be so late that I'll spend more time travelling than playing polo (even including standing around in a park not playing polo)...

Ha, I pm'd him and mentioned the minories and other city of London car parks. For the record in case anyone else needs it, I've left my polo bike in the minories car park a number of times over night, even with mallets attached. The security office is literally facing the bike racks.
