@Jaw, the same could be said when the rumours were swirling about Real Madrid sniffing.
@Punnage wrong to the extent that you base the team success just on having Bale play well. Calling us a one man team. Bale played well because he was given licence to, because the manager made the side work around and with him. If AVB isn't there does 'Arry get as much out of him?
AVB implemented a system of play which made us harder to beat, more compact away from home and got a player who had been playing well to play even better. We are a better side under him, and not just because Bale plays for us..
