The problem is that practically, for the police, it's almost impossible to prove a saddle (or any other bike part) is stolen. The serial numbers on frames do this, but parts don't have serial numbers. So how do you prove that an Ideale saddle is your Ideale saddle, not just the same model?

Of course the other option is to customise the saddle in some way, or get Skully to do it for you.
