one of my guilty favourite bikes.
Brilliant description of that bike, it's not a bike you can go fast or can it, but it's brilliant for going full speed at a kerbs and it still get you over it.
Great when you're drunk and need to get home, felt stable and easy to ride in a straight line, oversized tubing mean surprisingly stiff compared to a typical dutch bike, and disc brakes mean yeaaahhh stopping power of a whippet rather than a whales piloting a tanker.
The 11 speed have a great range almost like those road cassette, very small jump between each one, and the rapidfire helped.
Even if you shift two gear in one stroke, the gap between each gears still not that big to go from spinny to grindy.

The Retrovelo is based on a classic MTB geometry that's popular and idea for a town bike than a Dutch bike that steer like a barge.

bmx fred have first dibs, currently being picked up soon I'm afraid.
Selling this out of necessary, it's an awesome everyday tough bike that doesn't attach any attention, used to leave it outside everyday in central London overnight and no one bat an eyelit, real fun bike to ride, for everyday duty to off the beaten path, rack strong enough to carry a person even.
mudguard are made for that bike, got internal brazed on for dyanmo cabling if you want them.
Brook B17 saddle too.
This model with no dynamo lighting, come with new rear tyres (Big Apple), including the old stem and handlebar as they were too short for me.
Got front hydraulic disc, and cable pull rear, DMR pedals, checked and serviced by Brixton Cycles last month.
£350 pick up Waterloo or Wimbledon.
