Good to know. Almost certain I'm going to go for the BOR bundle as soon as I've sold some stuff. Hopefully they'll be easy to switch between bikes.
Was going to go ROTOR3D+ but unless someone can give me a good reason not to, the BOR deal looks too good to pass up.

Well, from my own experience you can swap crank arms with fellow forum members to get the right length with the Rotor3D+

Not sure about crank length. I noticed that BOR only come in 172.5 which worried me so I checked both my bikes and discovered that I've been running 170 and 175 without noticing the difference. I feel 172.5 might be a good compromise ;-)

The only thing that would concern me about the BOR would be the resale, that and it's an unknown quantity- but of course that could go two ways and they might be the most awesome cranks I've never heard of!

I think they are exactly the same as tune. Either way they'll be the only cranks I've ever owned that wouldn't be described as "budget".

Cool, well report back.

You do realise you can buy a P2M from an online shop in Germany that accepts card payments, don't you?
The only one I could find charged a fairly significant premium to use a card, do you know one that doesn't hike the price up?

I ordered direct from p2m so I wouldn't know.

DC Rainmaker has done another review of the Stages crankarm with updated software and by George they appear to have cracked it.

As soon as the rotor 3D 165mm arm ones out I'm in!

I just read that- nothing for Rotor currently.
Here is a boring graph- you can see that where the road kicks up to 10% and also turns into clay my cadence drops off, along with my power:
The clay section sucked balls.

By the way - anyone considering the FSA Gossamer version - DO NOT buy it. Nothing wrong with the power meter itself.
I'm curious as to why this option is even muted - who would chose to buy after market Gossamer cranks?
FWIW the BB30 Gossamers I own slide right out with a gentle press. Compared to removing a 'dale spindle it's stupidly easy.

looking at my data, apon hitting the clay when my right leg went ouchie.
Out of saddle for 60 secs - heart ouchie
Sit down for 60 secs - leg ouchie
Out of saddle for 40 secs - heart ouchie
Sit down for 40 secs - leg ouchie
Out of saddle for 20 secs - heart ouchie
Sit down for 20 secs - leg ouchie
......Boom.The cadance steps down like a ticking bomb.

I think you can probably sustain a higher heart rate than you think you can.

You can shut it- where's my £500?

What are you talking about, I beat you. I was back down the bottom eating a cheese board while you were still struggling up the top. Anyway you didn't take the bet.

Lies, lies and more lies.
£500 please.

Absolutely spot on.
My ouchie level was 173 bpm. Which should be more than doable for a man of tender years. So I should have packed more HTFU.
More out of the saddle work nay not of saved my leg though. I have a billiard ball sized lump where my hamstring meets my right buttock now. I am currently sitting at a weird angle at my desk because of it.
As for power. I have some great readings from the powercal. If not surprising.
Climb all the things at 250watts.
Chase TW2 down all the things with neatly spaced 700watt efforts. -

The clay section sucked balls.
I will be back there before its tarmac'd.
Its beaten me 3 times now.
I plan to cruise up to the lake in a frankly embarressingly long time....
....then smash the clay section to bits. Spitting, and swearing at it all the way. -
• #399
Cruise up there just as we did Trollstigen, I reckon you'll smash it up the clay then.
I had a look at the splits- I did 1:07 for the first 17K, then 28:37 for the 4K of clay.

By the way - anyone considering the FSA Gossamer version - DO NOT buy it. Nothing wrong with the power meter itself, but the BB spindle on the FSA cranks is such a tight fit in the BB that it's really difficult to swap between bikes. You'll be hitting it so hard with that rubber mallet that you'll probably break something.
