  • thanks for the help guys, on each sprocket it has the number of teeth followed by an "M" sadly no "c" in sight so i believe i've been duped and sold a (possibely mavic?) 8 speed cassette with a 9 speed campagnolo lockring. just double checking that every sprocket should have a "C" somewhere on it, and if not, it means its not campag.

    I took a look at some pics of exa cogs on ebay and they all seem to have campagnolo stamped. So possibly yours is Miche.

    Letters on campy cassettes like the C mentioned (theres a b c etc) is just something campy uses to know which cog can go on which. You cant mix and match a cassette randomly unless you are okay with crappy shifting, hence the letters (just need to look at the scheme and than you can do some mixing)

    If your locking is campy 26mm its worth some cash, perhaps it helps smooth the possibly faulty description. Like 35 usd or similar. Ridiculous ofc but ...
