Am I missing noticing any advantage over proper bike wheels? Apart form the the first and last shot, all the other 'comparison' wheels like a car and pram are solid spoked.
"isolates you from HF road noise" - yep, like a tension-spoked bike wheel then.
"allows the rim to move relative to the hub" - again, like a spoked wheelPower transfer?
And what about teh aero? Will somebody think OF TEH AERO.Mr "I run a design consultancy" can >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Aren't consultants always going on about "not wanting to re-invent the wheel?"

The wheel looks like a fine idea to me, adds a level of suspension without as much weight and complexity as a linkage or piston system. Although there are already suspension hubs around which I think achieve the same ends.
The reporters accent on the other hand might be fail, although I can't actually decide if it's not win. Chatting away enthusiastically over a pint or two would be fine, but you wouldn't want to have it piercing your hangover at the breakfast table.

I've got a suspension hub in my folder.

Last week I stripped all but three teeth off my rear cog. Specialised perhaps should think about the cheap unbranded parts they sell with their bikes.

Sorry would you prefer I had cleaned it for the photo

Maybe if you cleaned it once it an a while, the cheap unbranded parts might have lasted longer.

Those tooth gaps are really deep. Bin the chain and chainring, they'll be fucked too.

I know the grit will wear down the cogs, but would dirt really cause all the teeth to just snap off?
True facts.
