What are your tyres of choice?

  • Hey guys, just wondering what tyres you use on your freestyle bikes. at the moment i have a 2" big apple up front and some other 32c tyre on the rear. both will need replacing soon so ill need some ideas.

  • Well a 32c won't cut it now for freestyle, unless you're in 2008.
I ride DMR Super Motos 2.25

  • 29 x 2.2 halo twin rails son

There is this famous trials rider who uses 1" skinny tyres, and manages to do all the crazy shit that you expect from a world famous trials rider.

    I forget his name.

Also dont forget all those guys making road bike trick videos lately. If there is a will (and a skill) there is a way.

  • ive got 35c resist nomads, they look awesome and work really well, been using them for three months and the threads are still virtually untoucher

  • ^ mine didnt last long. infact i have 2 in 45c if anyone wants them. will do cheap

  • Yus.

  • that is pretty cool! Only thing is, I have 24c twins on my road fixed, and they haven't failed in the year I've had them!

  • what you have to remember with 29er rails is they are £70 a set and you can pick up a pair of new resists for £30

  • I've ditched my resist nomad's in favor of Continental TourRide Reflex's. They're slightly bigger and have much more tread, however they aren't made in germany. First impression is that theyre much gripper than the the nomads, vastly so in the wet. I'll have to see how well they hold up to skidding, but i've got a feeling they're not going to last as well for some reason.

  • Conti's German engineering......

  • has anyone ridden the WTB Freedom Thickslick tyres? I have seen them on crc for £18 each 26" x 2.0" and they sound pretty tough

  • Ive been riding my tour rides for quite a few months now, i have to say that their great! so much better than the nomads, really grippy even in the wet and tough as old boots.

  • i really enjoy the schwalbe crazy bobs, they re very nice on street and ride quite good on dirt too if u pay attention and pull when it slides.

  • i recently got a pair of conti retro rides 700x2.0, pretty frickin awesome in cream, gets all the bitches ;)
