  • Mum has just bought this little guy for my dad, can't wait to meet him in a few weeks. My dad has always wanted a husky but my mum always gets yappy yorkies.

My next door neighbour's cat Charlie appears to have adopted me as his bitch. He meows at me through either my bedroom window or the kitchen window to let him in the main door. Thankfully he hasn't yet figured out it's quicker for him to get to his home by going through mine via the patio but I'm sure he will soon. He also hides in the bush by the main door and pounces on me when I get home from work. Scares the shit out of me every time.

  • My cat's bastardness is directly correlated to the size of my arse.

  • Barney, now about 110 in dog years was having a nice time in the sun

then we walked through a field with some cows and one of them attacked him, head butted him then stamped on him
He managed to walk home and has been fed on the finest beef as he recuperates. He hasn't broken anything, but he has a had a rough time
He walked some of the way home, but we cadged a lift for the last mile

  • I've been cat sitting for the last few days for some friends. Meet my new best mate.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it one of the larger outer planets? No meet Jabba, sorry I mean meet Radley. Do not adjust your monitor he is that mahoosive in real life.

Come over and we'll chat over dinner................

.........is something he would never say. I don't know how old he is exactly but he eats biscuits for 7+ cats and has the definate air of a cat settling into early retirement with real committment, will periods of sleep interspersed by periods of having a sit, only interupted by periods of eating and occassional play with humanoids.
After dinner he kind of hinted he wanted to go out.....

......although wiping his brown star on my sunglasses was a bit unnecessary
Once outside fuuuuuuuuck yeah I'ma just going to let it all hang out

For an old boy he still has a playful spirit and is up for a bit of chase the laser pen, and having seen numerous episodes of the Big Cat Diaries he reckons he's got his stealth sneak sorted, well as close an oil tanker can get to a sneak.

What happened seconds after this picture was a pant wettingly hilarious cartoon demonstration. After the trademark ass quiver he suddenly released the clutch and unleashed all the power from under that significant ginger bonnet. As an older model he was'nt fitted with traction control, so in a moment devoid of the expected feline grace he did what I can best describe as flailed all four limbs into urgent motion accompanied by the rat-a-tat of claws on laminate flooring. After what seemed like an age of comedy thrashing with no forward motion he finally hit the sweet spot, traction, and suddenly shot across the room.
His face then totally gave away the fact this ship had been launched without any preloaded steering or navigational commands. And sofas come up pretty damn quick at full warp. Improvising our hero then made me totally lose my shit by throwing down all his xmas party dance moves at once in a crazed, and amazingly as it seems to have defied Newtons laws of motion, successful attempt to avoid his face making imminent impact with sofa and then table. I was in bits, he did not see the funny side, cats know when they're being laughed at, and that was an extended period of laughter. We simply must get some laminate flooring in the Serengeti, I'm amazed its not been done, hilarity guaranteed.

Sorry Cath, he's not fat just big boned and I love him really, Radley it was a pleasure, you are a star.

Oh and for all the cat lovers Horizon on BBC on Thursday is the secret life of cats, featuring plenty of kitty-cam action. I wonder if Clefty's Wolfie and his adventures are about to go global?

  • ^ Brilliant :-)

  • ^^ Love.

  • I'm still feeling slightly traumatised after this morning's 'Bird Gate' drama here in Camberwell.

Thanks peeps, Barney really appreciates all the sympathy. He is pretty much fine now, still has a bit of a limp, but is back to walking as normal.
We have cut the cow fields out of our route. But cow is still very much in his diet.

  • All grown up

  • Your dog seems to have some growing issues

  • Cat's bigger then him already. And eats all his food.

  • The secret life of cats is a Horizon special on BBC2 tonight. Basically scientists put cameras on cats to find out wtf they do all day.
