• so, an accumulation of events means i've decided to try and shift some bike stuff.Viewing/ pick up just off new kent road (elephant and castle) or i can come meet somewhere probably. dibs if you must, but payment gets prioritized.

    Colnago Super**
bought this at the end of last summer with the intention of building it up with period parts (suntour superbe pro) but in then end found i didn't quite have the money, time or desire to do so. I built it up and rode it fixed with some junk parts for a while which was nice, but not really doing it justice, so better to pass it to someone who will give it the love it deserves:) it's the first 'good' steel frame i've ever owned and you can really feel a difference in the ride quality. For sure it's a bona-fide colnago, cut outs, engravings etc. 1982 if i recall correctly. a bit of surface rust, check the pics. there is a small bump in the top tube, i'll post up a picture. Ride quality seems unaffected and the bike still tracks perfectly. Looks like it was made by handlebars hitting the top tube, wasn't me, has been there as long as i have owned it.
    **specs
**columbus tubing, either sl or slx, the previous seller was convinced it is slx, but i couldn't find any helical reinforcements (although i'm not too sure what to look for) so i'm not going to sell it as such.
columbus, horizontal dropouts, italian threaded BB, seat tube is 62cm ctt, takes a 27.0 seat post, forks are non original, but nice, comes with a stronglight headset, paint is tatty, i haven't cleaned the bike for a while, more pictures on request. EDCO competition bottom bracket, low end seatpost.

http://oi44.tinypic.com/9izpyg.jpgthe bump really is minor, just under the black tape
http://oi40.tinypic.com/314qxk6.jpg I paid £150 for it with the seatpost, headset and BB included, given the minimal amount i've ridden it i think it far to ask that back. Reasonable offers for parts separated considered. A cursory glance at ebay shows someone trying to sell the same BB for £30...
Turbo on above bike, fairly tatty, bought off here keep the juices flowing £7.
Cranks Suntour superbe pro, 144bcd, road, 165 crank length. not too keen to sell these as they are bloody nice, but cant quite justify keeping them.. £50

bar stem combo is not for sale as i think its probably worth less than the time i spent doing the stupid stealth harlequin.

    Rat Frame
bought this a while back off someone on here thinking it would be a great idea to cover it in tunnocks teacake wrappers. At some point my enthusiasm for this project waned (painstakingly cutting the foily buggers to fit around the braze ons, ripping them, and then being like 'oh shoot, now i have to eat another one...') so its been sitting around doing nothing for too long now. plus i think its too small for me. just realised i forgot to measure it so will do that when i can. smallish. also, it looks like the previous owner deepened the dropouts beyond their original length, looks fine though :)

lugged steel frame, brass brazed, was originally red judging by the steerer tube, now has a fine patina and a few teacake wrappers. almost complete headset, i think it just needs a top race. rear brake bridge, rear facing drop outs. more pics on request. rust is surface only, still a nice sturdy frame. i think maybe sjs?

    Carbon forks
one of these was sold to me as one inch, and is actually one and one eigth, the other ones steerer was millimeters too short.

Time Sprint, 1" steerer 19.5cm long the stickers on this one are over the clear coat so would peel off leaving a plain carbon weave if your not a fan of the logos £40

    ITM Visia, 1 1/8 " steerer just over 19cm long £45

  • I could be completely blind but can you post a price for the rat frame? Would be nice to get an accurate size too when you have time.

    Thanks.

  • I'd be pretty interested to take that Colnago off your hands for £130

  • oh woops, sorry for not posting the price on the rat, i thinkk i paid £70, so would like to recoup that, and although you could argue that the wrappers should lower the price, i'll happily remove them for free :) still haven't measured it, i'll try to do that when i get home. sorry if i take a little while to reply, my access to internet is a little sporadic.

  • rat looks great. if it wouldve made any sense i wouldve snapped it up.. i already have a naked rusty roadbike..

  • Im still interested in that Colnago

  • hey all, finally got round to measuring the rat, seems 56cm ctt, still available.

  • Is the Colnago still available?

  • Is there any Columbus decals on the Colnago?

  • colnago is still about, columbus decals as such>> i cant fully remember why but i'm think it denotes SL, or SLX but doesnt specify which. please correct me if i'm wrong,http://oi44.tinypic.com/j7spae.jpgif anyone wants to perve at the club cutaways let me know, bottom bracket, top head tube lug and brake bridge.

  • any pics of the rat mocked up with a set of wheels? interested.

  • Cranks still for sale?

  • Dibs **colnago **frame with saddle...and perhaps even the rad frame too if still available.

  • do you have a good pic of the dent in the top tube of the Colnago?

  • Dibs on the time Sprint Carbon Forks if you still have them
