  • Spotted Jacqui on my way back from my non-TNRC ride last night. Basicaly got lost 35 miles away from London, decided to ride rather than take the train, set GPS on, ended up cycling a good part of the journey on a canal, at some point spotted some girl on a Brompton coming in the opposite direction, and recognized it was Jacqui as we passed each other. It was re-insuring to see her as I knew then I was not too far from London!

    Good to see you!

I spotted Jacqui and Skydancer outside LMNH last night. Nice to see you both.

  • lol laner and his invisible speakers...

chung has a speakers in his backpack which far outclass my phone's tiny soundsystem

  • Laner taking a call, earlier this morning:

  • Yep! that was us.

The bag is one made by revelate designs
    https://www.revelatedesigns.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=store.catalog&CategoryID=1&ProductID=5

were you on gears? saw someone who looked 'on here'

    Ha, could've been me, yes.
I was on this, albeit with a rear rack and pannier…

Thanks for the bag link. I'll be sure to say hi next time.

  • chung has a speakers in his backpack which far outclass my phone's tiny soundsystem

That's fucking sick, I just strap my phone to bag with the chest strap with the speakers facing my face so it sounds loud to me but nobody else, but I will buy some loud portable speakers soon to throw in my jersey pocked and piss everyone off.

Laner taking a call, earlier this morning:

    LOL

  • Black guy. Raw frame brakelzz with drops. Very colourful cap. Riding with a guy on green singlespeed with bulls. On Peckham rye just now. Looking pretty "on here"

  • saw a taxi on Old Street outside LMNH overtake a group of about 10 cyclists then pull in front of them and open his door. I thought "Damn that guy really needs to look before opening the door" then realised he was puffing his chest out and looking around for someone, I presume a cyclist he just had an altercation with. He then jumped back in the cab and sped off to overtake the same group of cyclist and repeat the action.

  • Spotted a surly steamroller and a LFGSS cap... It could only be Miss Mouse outside Cycle Surgery in Spitalfields at lunchtime today.
Oh haaaaiiiii lovely lady! Any joy with that thingamy you were after?

  • Black guy. Raw frame brakelzz with drops. Very colourful cap. Riding with a guy on green singlespeed with bulls. On Peckham rye just now. Looking pretty "on here"

I saw them too, so you may have also seen me! I was the tall guy on a Pearson mashing it past them near the top of the rise.

  • Chap on a red Langster, no rear brake, I followed you from Waterloo Bridge to Burgess Park. Good riding and we had a little chat. You might be on here as might your flatmate who "rides at Herne Hill most Saturdays".

  • Purple fixed. Brklz. White spok. Narrow flat bars. Quiff. Shades.

Last night down the Walworth Road.

    Own up, you incorrigible hipster.

Peckham Rye: Hipster Spice Detour Route.

I saw a chap attempting to cycle hands-free down Rye Lane today - hands in pockets, shout-outs to the ladies, air of nonchalance...woefully let down by the fact he couldn't keep in a straight line so was very nearly taken out by a cyclist coming up behind him.

    ^Tool story, bro.

  • What do you ride MM?

There are always at least a few twats giving it the bug guns down rye lane in the morning. Dont get me started on surrey canal park!

  • Don't get ME started on the Surrey Canal Path - we've had various complaints over the years from and then attempted to pacify the Friends of Burgess Park (mainly pedestrians) who want to get bikes banned from this route - always the few who spoilt things for the majority.

These kids with attitude are quite harmless really but yes, the racer types with all the gear drive me nuts too.

    I'm on a Steamroller - not usually with a rosette :)

  • I DAS'd someone wheeling a mash histogram into a house a Camden road/Seven sisters road this evening.

  • Laner taking a call, earlier this morning:

The past couple of weeks have been unkind... Nice moobs...

  • Today was a ridiculous day for spotting. I was late repeatedly because I kept bumping into people. Loads who aren't on here (yes, I know), but also BlueQuinn at Cecilia Road/Shacklewell Lane and gormley in the Pembury later. Lovely to see you both!

  • slightly looking for myself in here, and didn't know what DAS meant... heres from urban dictionary
'It illustrates to the remainder of the general public that you are a member of the elite London cycling squad LFGSS and makes them all super jealous.
Like OMG right, I saw this guy last night and he DAS'd me, I wouldn't have minded but I had some serious pace and it slowed me down a bit'

  • You weren't standing outside Brixton Market on Atlantic Road at about 6.15pm on Tuesday evening in a forum cap were you? Whoever that was, I DAS'd you so loud but must've been drowned out by the roots and culture zone across the road because you didn't even flinch.

  • howradmichello near Russell Square yesterday evening

  • Who gave me DAS at the top of Walworth Rd?

I was stuck in traffic, you were walkerengering Southbound, hai!

  • possibly vello (or a lookalike) on battersea park road this morning, we exchanged confused looks. I generally dont look 'on here' but I was on my tarck biek today.

  • I went undercover this morning, travelled in a suit up to London Bridge sharing train-space with a chap with a black condor pista, black aerorage wheels, carbon FSA cranks, carbon USE seatpost, brakless, black riser bars, extra long valve on rear wheel, spesh saddle, spesh rear tyre, gatorskin front tyre, rapha/sky/pinarello hooded jacket, slightly spiky grey hair, two v shiny sprockets, clean chain, atac pedals and sneakers, road shoes presumably concealed in his little backpack. Did I miss anything? Hmmm, failed to notice make of chainring.

Adrian. Great guy and former courier. Not really sure if he's on here tho.

  • howradmichello near Russell Square yesterday evening

thanks upstart - nice seeing you again so soon too (after TNRC) - forum name noted! you gotta DAS a fellow forum-monger next time!!

  • Think I passed you guys this morning on the OKR - was Chung the guy playing music out of some hidden speakers?

Hi Laner. Always nice to chat.
Hi slamm. Give me a shout next time. Feel free to call me a knob for blasting [crap] music :)
