Nice bike indeed, a steel steal at €650 shipped... but what makes you think it is SLX? And/or 197? It certainly can't be both as SLX wasn't introduced until around 1984...

happy to pay €650 (£558);
how would i get safe receipt of the bicycle?
-
• #32
Hi
Is your Santini still for sale as i am interested.
Regards

this seems a little fishy to me, so unless you get cast-iron proof that this isn't a scam i'd beware - PMed the seller but yet to get a satisfactory answer to my earlier question, "how would i get safe receipt of the bicycle?"
for buying from overseas i'd like to be able to place the cash with a safe-house go-between (e.g. an internationally recognised website), until delivery of the purchase was rec'd, otherwise what guarantee do you have that you'll get your purchase?

there is nothing fishy
its not problem sending you bicycle to England, but it problem price. DHL told me that it will cost arround 220 eur. For me is tooo expencive... Also its not problem to send you bicycle befor you pay me. When you receive it than you pay me on moneybookers or pay pal... I have wrote that is free shipping to some EU country and it
s becouse i have friends that drive trucks to Belgium, Germany, France, Italy and its not problem to carry bicycle with, and when bicycle arrive guy who buy it can check it and than pay for it. UK is problem for that kind of shipping becouse i dont know anyone who drive truck or car to it. -
• #35
well fair enough - if you're offering to send the bicycle, then await the cash payment - that solves the safe receipt problem.. let me re-ponder your PMed offer..

I'm also pretty sure that the Pogliaghi has these very wheels on in the photoset.
Notice the make and also the double score mark on the rear wheel. And the same tyres! -
• #41
yes it has same wheels and i have told that howradmichello, it was my mistake when i was taking picture... Original wheels is with super record hubs and Nisi rims, and also is in great condition as these on photo...
Belive me or not i also have one more Fir Quasar rims with SR hubs.i`m so suprised how some guys looking to find tiny little spot to comment. Bicycle is on sale for 2 months and when someone decide to buy there is smart guy who spend whole day investigating photo of bicycle.
THIS BICYCLE for 650 eur is a fu****g gift.

We'd agreed on £600 (700€), no?! Happy to pay you 650€ instead though!
Awaiting confirmation of cargo dispatch. Eagerly await bicycle arrival (especially as it affects whether or not this build will be geared). Hope it fits me!
(will pass it onto the forum if it doesn't!)

if this bicycle does make it into my hands..
i'd certainly switch (by placing into the classifieds) what looks like a blue Brooks Colt saddle for something a little more colour-matching; replace the rusty bolt in this pic; check the stickiness of the stickers and perhaps wonder a little about it lacking a proper badge; admire the Campagnolo detailing; and only wish it were a more colourfully Campagnolo-matching Colnago!!
.. oh, and I'd persuade the spider to crawl off into the wild!
