Touring South America

Has anyone cycled round South America?

I'm heading to Buenos Aires in early December, and cycling til late May / June 2014. My rough route is:
- south to Patagonia (partly along the coast)
- north along the western side of Argentina
- 6 weeks faffing in Bolvia
- Peru, Ecuador (more faffing)
- maybe Columbia
I'd welcome any advice or ideas on good routes and good places to visit. I'm not in a massive hurry to get around. It's more that I'm travelling around South America and I happen to be doing it by bike, rather than I have a wish to power through thousands of miles at any great pace.

He's currently traveling there.

Wrote to the guy, already got an answer !
I missred one of his comments he's not a pro, but enjoys a picture.
His camea is a canon SX 40 HS.
